BECbyBILLION, a brand of Shengda Electric, is renowned in international markets such as Australia, South Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central and South America, and is even the top choice for professional ADSL router users. Shengda Electric (stock code 3027), which started as a manufacturer of power supplies and transformers, was established in 1973. Since 2004, it has been marketing its own brand of networking products under the BECbyBILLION brand globally. With a professional R&D team, manufacturing plants, and agents and distributors worldwide, it enjoys a high reputation in the international communications market for providing value-added broadband customer premises equipment (CPE) and highly flexible customized services.

In a three-person apartment, the innovative ISDN modem developed and sold rapidly.

Mr. Chen Zhongting, the current chairman who previously worked at IBM, decided to return to Shengda Electric in 1992 to establish the Communications Division, focusing on the research and development and sales of ISDN communication equipment, thus giving the company a second spring. In order to find an excellent communications team, Mr. Chen Zhongting approached Mr. Zheng Xufeng, the COO of Shengda Electric, to start a business together.

In its early stages, Shengda Electric's Communications Division used a rented apartment in Hsinchu as its laboratory and office. COO Zheng Xufeng and two engineers worked tirelessly day and night in the apartment, dedicated to ISDN communication product development. At that time, the Windows operating system was undergoing rapid updates, and the software compatibility between ISDN communication products and PCs required a high level of technical expertise. These early founders of the Communications Division, with their perseverance and determination, developed high-quality ISDN modem products, successfully entering the European telecommunications market and becoming one of the top three ISDN modem manufacturers in Asia. In 1997, Shengda Electric's ISDN interface card was ranked first in the communications category by the German magazine BYTE, which also opened the door for Shengda Electric to enter the research and development of ADSL broadband communication products.
